NAYS stacks up support for author Greg Bach's new coaching book
Garden City Park, NY: Heading into its thirty-eighth year, the Florida-based National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) has always supported kids and adults alike in the shared pursuit of their non-profit organization's longtime motto: "Better sports for kids, better kids for life."
Now, NAYS has partnered once again with Square One Publishers to bring a new message to the reading public on how best for coaches to "build that better youth sports team."
Written and assembled by NAYS' own Senior Director of Communications Greg Bach (see photo), Secrets of Successful Coaching ($17.95 USD, ISBN: 978-0-7570-0468-1) provides a slew of winning tips and key advice from fifty of America's most successful coaches.
Among these top professionals are: Chicago Cubs’ manager Joe Maddon; Baltimore Ravens’ coach John Harbaugh; North Carolina basketball coach Roy Williams; Old Dominion women’s basketball coach Nikki McCray-Penson; Olympic gymnastics great Samantha Peszek; Edmonton Oilers’ hockey coach Ken Hitchcock; and Duke softball coach Marissa Young, among more than 40 others.
NAYS has already begun to spread the word about the book through active social media with its more than 3,000 community-based and partnered organizations nationwide. In addition, a growing list of those fifty coaches interviewed for the book have begun to share news of the book to their own respective social media audiences—demographics that already number collectively in the tens of thousands.
Within the book trade, Publishers Weekly has this to say about the book in its winning review:
"[Secrets of Successful Coaching] supplies parents and youth coaches with helpful advice culled from interviews with 50 coaches from a wide range of sports . . . [t]hrough these informative interviews, Bach helps coaches motivate young players to reach their potential while providing them with effective role models."
Other NAYS-affiliated titles published and available from Square One Publishers include: Why Johnny Hates Sports; Your First Coaching Book; and A Parents' Guide to Baseball and Softball.
Secrets of Successful Coaching is available now through Amazon.com and wherever else books are sold nationwide.
