| The Bohensky Dissection
Series has been used successfully by more than 300,000 biology
students nationwide. Each book in the series is designed to
guide the student through the study of anatomical structures.
The books do this through the use of clearly marked photographs
and illustrations. Accompanying text offers the student both
easy-to-follow dissection instructions and factual information
about the section under observation. At the end of each chapter
there are tests which can be used for self-study or for grade
course evaluation.
Within the traditional dissection portion of a biology course,
many programs include the sheep heart, eye, and brain. Within
many of these guides, the author has incorporated photographs
of these structures to more closely follow standard course
curriculum. The author also provides important information
on human organs such as the eye, ear, and heart. In this way,
the student can better understand the role and function of
these organs as they relate to human life processes.
Add to this each book's large-size format, lay-flat spiral
binding, and reasonable cost, and you can see why the Bohensky
Dissection Series has become one of the most successful dissection
guides used throughout this country's schools.
