As a spiritual leader, prolific writer, and
pioneering nutritionist of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries,
Ellen G. White had a profound effect on millions of people around
the world. Today, her words continue to guide and inspire countless
individuals. Although she is the most translated author in the history
of American literature, few people outside the Seventh-day Adventist
Church have known of her work--that is, until now.
In this unique book, Robert Cohen presents Ellen
White's most insightful quotations on health and nutrition, and
supports them with current scientific facts that confirm her views.
Here are 500 of White's "pearls of wisdom"--words that are as practical,
insightful, and moral as they are accurate. Gathered from her many
works, these classic quotations beautifully present her beliefs,
from her stand as an ardent vegetarian to her view of the negative
effects of dairy products on health. To this, Cohen has added fascinating
excerpts culled from today's leading scientific journals, validating
the many points made by Mrs. White.
Whether viewed as a unique slice of history,
a book of prophetic wisdom, or a relevant guide to everyday life,
God's Nutritionist offers both a beacon of light and
a path of truth.
Ellen
G. White was a co-founder of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Born in 1827, in Gorham, Maine, her spiritual calling began at an
early age. For the remainder of her life, she conducted a public
ministry, traveling around the country and the world, spreading
her revolutionary Christian thinking. In 1863, the Seventh-day Adventist
Church was established, and she became its first spiritual leader.
Through her inspired guidance, what began as a handful of believers
has grown to include millions of followers throughout the world.
