Elevated cholesterol and C-reactive proteins
are markers linked to heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular
disorders. It is estimated that over 100 million Americans--more
than a third of our population--suffer from these conditions. To
combat these problems, modern science has created a group of drugs
known either as statins or as specific commercial drugs such as
Lipitor, Zocor, and Pravachol. While over 20 million people take
these medications, the fact is that up to 42 percent experience
side effects, and a whopping 60 to 70 percent eventually quit treatment.
This is truly unfortunate, since statins have proven to be so effective.
Here, for the first time, is a guide that explains the problems
caused by statins, and offers easy-to-follow strategies that will
allow you to benefit from these drugs while avoiding their side
effects. In addition, the author provides natural alternatives that
have also proven effective.
Written by a highly qualified researcher and
physician, What You Must Know About Statin Drugs & Their Natural
Alternatives begins by explaining elevated cholesterol and
C-reactive proteins. It then examines how statins work to alleviate
these problems, and discusses possible side effects. Highlighted
are facts about the medications' usage, including a discussion of
difficulties caused by standard dosage levels and information on
safer usage. The author even explains how you can identify those
who may be sensitive to statins, and offers safe and effective alternative
treatments.
If you have elevated cholesterol and C-reactive
proteins, or if you are currently using a statin, What You
Must Know About Statin Drugs & Their Natural Alternatives
can make a profound difference in the quality of your life.
